Where It
All Began.
Denali Brewing Company is an employee-owned brewery in Talkeetna, Alaska. Founded in 2009 by Sassan Mossanen — a former wilderness guide and homebrewer — we started on an 8.5-barrel system inside the Twisted Creek Restaurant on Main Street.
We quickly outgrew that original spot. Recognizing the demand, we expanded to a 30-barrel production facility at Mile 2 of the Talkeetna Spur Road in late 2011. This growth facilitated the production of our signature brews and ensured the highest quality and consistency for our patrons and fans.

A hundred miles north of Anchorage in the heart of the Susitna Valley, Talkeetna is located at the confluence of the Susitna, Chulitna, and Talkeetna rivers. Founded as a historic railroad community, Talkeetna now serves as a base for climbers attempting to summit Denali — North America's highest peak at 20,310 feet.

Seed to Table
Sustainability.
If you truly love beer, then you must love every part of it. Our commitment to our craft does not end in the glass. At Denali Brewing, we complete the circle by composting all the spent grain that local farmers do not pick up from us.
We worked with the State of Alaska's Rural Development program to study our soil and ensure we are producing the highest quality medium for growing our veggies. Throughout the growing season, our 2,100 sq ft greenhouse produces food that is raised from seed to table without pesticides, herbicides, or any other adjuncts.
